Films for Good Portfolio

FIlms for Good is a film production company modestly dedicated to developing films which "change the world". We focus on mini-documentaries that highlight the wonderful work done by non profit organizations throughout the world. We also believe it is important to have visual records of our loved ones, and we have developed several "video portraits" of seniors - as well as children. Our love for music shows through our work; we generally add a soundtrack and are always looking to partner with talented musicians to use or spotlight their art. We are also in the process of developing a couple of documentaries about two of our favorite subjects - music and peace. Further information can be found at and . This portfolio contains samples - usually edited - of our work in fund raising, music, and video portraits.

"Without A Song" Trailer

Paul Marinaro celebrated the release of his new album, "Without a Song" at The Jazz Showcase in Chicago, IL in June of 2013. In this trailer, Paul discusses the concept album, his reasons for the tribute, and his song selections.

The album has received widespread critical acclaim, been featured on national radio programming, and has been a best seller, already in its second pressing. "Without a Song" was recently named one of the "Best of 2013" by critic Howard Reich in the Chicago Tribune.

Paul traces the beginnings of his own love affair with music to an early memory at 5 years old…finding his father’s homemade 78RPM acetate discs in the attic, hearing his father’s voice, and being mesmerized. For this album, he salvaged and painstakingly recovered the information on the damaged discs (some nearly 70 years old) and various audio cassettes. Serving as a centerpiece and aural time machine, parts of those recordings have found their way onto Paul’s album, along with the creation of one powerful duet of father and son, "You Will Be My Music", bridging two generations, two audio technologies, and two distinct singing styles.

Paul’s career, his musical journey, and the recording of this tribute album are the subject of a forthcoming documentary, “You Will Be My Music”.
